Means of Study

December 7th, 2007

There are lots of means of study which condition an effective learning of the material given. The most widely used among them is a book. Some of the students consider that it is better not to use any book at all because the material should be synthesized by a tutor and the most important issues on the topic should be provided.

The discussion on whether to use a book for study or not is rather burning because the modern generation of students face a large number of problems connected with learning by book. The main problem in this case is that everyone has the personal way of thinking which leads to the different perception of information while doing self-study work. As a result, the level of productivity is falling  and the grades are not so high as the students would like them to be. They, actually, need the material to be explained.

There are also video and audio cassettes serving as good means of study. They can be used as good sources of information. One more reason for their effectiveness is that they are rather  interesting to the students. They have visual  picture of what they are taught and  can easily remember everything.  Exercise-books  are also very important in the study process because they promote better understanding of the information given.

As far as you can see, the education  process is a complex mechanism including all possible means of effective learning.
